RONDO'S BETTER

GOES APESHIT IN FINAL 6 MINUTES EN ROUTE TO CAREER-HIGH 25 POINTS TO GO WITH 9 REBOUNDS, 8 ASSISTS, AND THREE STEALS

Rondo should be in the All-Star game, we all know it, and hopefully everyone else now knows it thanks to his mug all over the ESPN front page stripping Deron Williams.

The arguments against Rondo being an All-Star are asinine. My favorite is the argument that he doesn't have a jump shot... when he's shooting 51% from the floor. Would these idiots rather he was shooting jump shots like Allen Iverson (40% from the floor this year), Jason Kidd (career 40% from the floor, and just barely), Paul Pierce (39% from the floor this year) or Tracy McGrady (39% from the floor this year)? Isn't the whole point to MAKE your shots, from wherever it is you shoot them? I understand that a jump shot supposedly makes you a complete player, but if Rondo would rather take it to the cup, and it's working, why hold that against him?

My second favorite is the argument that he has a great team, so he can't help but be great. Yeah... I'm sure Matt Maloney would have been just as good for the Celtics. Honestly... how much better do these HATERS need Rondo to play in order to convince them that he's a top-flight point? The answer is that these people are arrogant know-nothing douches that wouldn't know good basketball if it put on a leather mask, broke into their house, ripped open the curtain while they were in the shower, and smacked them in the face with a morning star.

As for the game, it was a good one for the C's. What was strange was that down the stretch it was Rondo and Perk that preserved the Celtics' lead against the hard-charging Jazz. The Jazz are a well-coached team that is getting better as the season wears on, so it was nice to see the Celtics take what the Jazz were giving them defensively and win a tight game.

It was a little freaky to see Paul clutching his knee there at the end, but he didn't seem to worried, and after seeing the replay, neither was I. Let's just say that we've seen this before... only the last time this happened he had to be taken off the court in a wheelchair whilst crying and then returned ten minutes later to torch the Lakers in the NBA Finals.... and then play the rest of the series without a problem. Regardless, hope he bounces back soon.

UP NEXT (updated)
@the Hawks Wednesday, then the Bulls, on Friday. SLAUGHTERHOUSE

its ATL tomorrow before Chicago. Hope Pierce is ok but which idiot was that on the Jazz trying to get a steal after Perk called the timeout when PP fell?

Whups, that's fixed, thanks.

I didn't notice the steal, but doesn't that seem like Matt Harpring-like behavior? I'll watch it again but he'd be my #1 suspect.

In Deron's defense...(which everyone already knows but I can't not say it) he is trying to come back from an ankle injury. Playing with the brace relieves most of the pain but restricts his movement while playing without it hurts him the next day. I agree Rondo should be in the All-Star game, but it is a shame Williams wasn't in it last year. He got a place in the skillzz challenge...let's just say Utah wasn't throwing parades over it. Williams isn't nearly 100% and I believe things would have been different if he could attack the basket like he did last season. The injury has been affecting his jump shot too. Sloan will tell you that every post game. Anyway...I had to leave my comments on the Jazz article. I wait all season for these games.

Sincerely,
Your random ass reader from Utah who wishes Boozer didn't have season ending injuries as a result of clipping his fingernails too short, or stubbing his toe.

Oh and I think it was Price going for the steal. Don't blame him though, he doesn't make decisions before he has either left the ground or is in the key. Sources also tell me he has an IQ of 42 and the only way to stop his on court movement is with a dog whistle.

Thanks Anonymous,

I know Deron's trials and tribulations well as he was my first pick in my fantasy draft... I also got a fair amount of crap for complaining about Deron during his rookie year, back when he was terrible. Utah fans are very defensive of Deron and I don't blame them because he's a great player now.

You're right that he should be an All-Star. I mean, it's going to be tough to beat out both Nash and CP3 but friggin' Iverson was the starter last season... that's garbage. How somebody could be a big-time contributor on the Olympic team but not make the stupid All-Star team I will never understand.

But, I like the Jazz because I hated the Jordan Bulls back in the day, and I also lived in Utah for a spell... they're my Western Conference team. So, good luck to ya.
